Pricing Policy
Fair pricing for the work that matters
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all rates. Our pricing reflects the true complexity of each task — so you pay less for routine work and more for the deep expertise that drives your project forward.
Our pricing philosophy
Every software project is a mix of straightforward features and genuinely hard problems. A standard CRUD screen and a custom authentication system are not the same amount of work — and they shouldn't be priced the same.
Our approach is simple: we charge based on the cognitive load, risk, and expertise a task demands. Common patterns that our team can execute efficiently carry a lower rate. Work that requires deep architectural thinking, security review, or domain-specific knowledge carries a higher rate. This keeps your budget honest and our incentives aligned.
We offer two engagement models — variable hourly pricing for ongoing or exploratory work, and project-based pricing for clearly scoped deliverables.
Variable hourly pricing
Instead of a flat rate, our hourly billing is split into three tiers. Every task is assigned to a tier upfront, so there are no surprises.
Tier 1 — Standard
Routine features, lower rate
Well-understood features that follow established patterns and require minimal architectural decisions. Our team can execute these efficiently without expensive discovery or design work.
Examples
- Standard CRUD interfaces and admin panels
- Static content pages and marketing sites
- Basic form handling with validation
- Standard UI components and layouts
- Simple database queries and API wrappers
- Routine bug fixes and minor updates
Tier 2 — Specialized
Complex logic, higher rate
Features that require deeper domain knowledge, careful state management, or integration with external systems. These tasks involve meaningful design decisions and benefit from senior engineering attention.
Examples
- Authentication and authorization systems
- Third-party API integrations and webhooks
- Real-time data sync and WebSocket connections
- Complex business rule engines
- Multi-step workflows and state machines
- Database schema design and migration planning
Tier 3 — Expert
High-stakes work, premium rate
Work where mistakes are expensive. These tasks demand deep technical expertise, security-conscious design, or novel solutions that don't have a playbook. Our most experienced engineers handle these.
Examples
- System architecture and technical design
- Security-critical components (encryption, audit logs)
- AI/ML model integration and prompt engineering
- High-performance or low-latency systems
- Custom protocol or parser implementation
- Production incident response and recovery
Each task is classified during sprint planning or the discovery phase. You'll always see the tier breakdown in your weekly reports so there's full transparency into where the effort is going.
Project-based pricing
For well-defined scopes — a new MVP, a specific module, or a fixed-duration engagement — we quote a fixed price. This gives you budget certainty while we absorb the execution risk.
Every project quote includes:
- A clear statement of deliverables and acceptance criteria
- A timeline with milestones and checkpoints
- A fixed price per milestone (progress billing, not upfront lump sums)
- A defined change-management process for scope adjustments
Project quotes are built from the same hourly tiers above — we estimate the effort per tier and aggregate into a total. This means project pricing naturally reflects the complexity mix of your scope.
Which model fits your project?
| Variable hourly | Project-based | |
|---|---|---|
| Scope clarity | Evolving / exploratory | Well-defined upfront |
| Budget style | Flexible monthly cap | Fixed per milestone |
| Best for | Ongoing development, maintenance, R&D | MVPs, feature modules, fixed campaigns |
| Risk | You pay for actual effort | We absorb overrun risk |
What's included in every engagement
Regardless of the model you choose, our rates include the following as part of the standard engagement:
Project management
Sprint planning, stand-ups, weekly status reports
Code review & QA
Peer review, automated testing, regression checks
Documentation
Inline docs, README, API references where applicable
Deployment support
CI/CD setup, environment configuration, launch assistance
